“I want to share what I have learned so you can feel younger, happier, and healthier, just as I have.”
Overview: Dr. Kim Scheuer is a board-certified family medicine and lifestyle medicine physician who has practiced in primary care settings for over 20 years in the Aspen, Colorado area. With a passion for living the lifestyle she prescribes for her patients, Dr. Scheuer believes patients can prevent, reverse, and slow chronic diseases to live more full, happy, and healthy lives. She is passionate about teaching what she learned to help her patients live their lives to the fullest. She now lives and practices in Salida, Colorado.
Training Institutions: Dr. Scheuer attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York, and completed her residency in family practice at the Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, California. She received her MS Education Specialist for the Deaf at the University of Rochester National Technical Institute for the Deaf and received her BA in Biology at the University of Rochester.
Clinical Expertise: Dr. Scheuer specializes in general health and wellness, weight management and food addiction, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, cardiovascular disease (including blood pressure and cholesterol control), and cancer prevention. She also focuses on the improvement of morbidity and mortality for patients already diagnosed with cancer, hormonal health and nutrition, allergy/asthma symptom improvements, thyroid health, autoimmune disorders and arthritis (osteo and rheumatoid), fatigue, digestive health, men’s and women’s health, de-prescribing medications, exercise enhancement, and improving your relationship with yourself.
My Philosophy: I want to share what I have learned so you can feel younger, happier, and healthier, just as I have. I want to help you get to the root cause of your illness to achieve disease reversal, rather than give medications to treat symptoms. However, if you need medication, I want to help you use as few medications as possible.
Interests: Being in nature, hiking, skiing, biking, family, travel and adventure, cooking for non-cooks, reading and constantly learning, and most importantly, being happy and healthy for as long as I can be to stay productive and make our world a better place.
Languages: English, Spanish, and American Sign Language
